History of Streaming Media

Streaming Media has been around since the 1920s with Muzak and long before computers. Muzak was a system that played  music in a continuous loop.

In the 1990s and 2000s there were technological advances in bandwidth to accommodate streaming media. Today you have live streaming such as ball games that do not need storage space and then you have YouTube, Pandora, Netflix, etc., that need storage space but is still streaming when played.
